Hello World

Hello World

I'm sure I'm one of a million techies that have used this title when creating their first blog, but I found it to be quite fitting.

I started programming when I was seven years old, back in the early '90s. Back then and into my younger years, mentors were in short supply. Jobs were few so techies in IRC channels were not forthcoming with helpful information, even to younger folks. So, at that time, I had to pour over technical documentation and resort to a litany of constant tinkering to learn new concepts.

Times have changed, and it's much easier for newcomers to learn about new technologies and platforms. I applaud this very much. I want everyone to experience the absolute passion I have for tech.

For a long time, I hesitated helping or mentoring people mostly because I wasn't traditionally educated within the tech realm. This made me afraid I would give bad advice and would steer people the incorrect way. But that being said, in the last few years, I have tried mentoring and helping folks wanting to break into tech as much as possible. This has awoken a new sense of me. I absolutely spreading my love for this art with so many, and they have been extremely receptive. I've been doing this 'tech' thing for a very long time and I've seen the positive changes people have made in their lives because of the advice I've given.

With that being said, one of my newer goals was to start to provide more educational content to those who are willing to learn. With creating this blog, I will also soon start to make video content for Youtube and other avenues.

Watching people get excited about what I do has reawaken a sort of dormant zest for al things technology.

I look forward to this new journey and I hope you'll come along with me.
